Engineering Services
Uralla Shire Council has an Engineering Department that employs three qualified engineers with work crews based in Uralla and Bundarra.
The services controlled by the Engineering Department include design, construction and maintenance of public infrastructure including:
- Roads
- Drainage
- Bridges
- Water Supplies at Uralla and Bundarra
- Uralla Sewerage
- Uralla Swimming Pool
- Parks and Gardens
- Playgrounds, Sporting Fields, Sporting Complex and Skate Park
- Quarries
- Footpaths in Uralla and Bundarra
- Car Park in Uralla
The Engineering Department is also responsible for the following services:
- Bush Fire Control in consultation with the Rural Fire Service
- Traffic Control
- Maintaining a fleet of approximately 85 vehicles and plant items
- Maintaining Depots and supply stores in Uralla and Bundarra
- Providing private works upon request to ratepayers such as road grading
- Street Cleaning in Uralla and Bundarra
- Provision and cleaning of public toilets
- Provision of street furniture, street stall and taxi stand in Uralla
- Payment of the electricity cost of street lighting in Uralla and Bundarra
- Signposting throughout the Shire
